In this project, we will design a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Generator (PMSG) model for wind turbines and conduct simulations using Simulink. The model enables performance evaluation under various operating conditions, including rotational speed, power output, and efficiency metrics. During the design process, we consider multiple factors such as wind turbine structure, control strategies implementation using PID controllers and maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithms, and electrical characteristics modeling of the PMSG system. Key Simulink components include the turbine aerodynamic model, PMSG electrical model with dq-axis transformation, power converter modules implementing space vector PWM, and grid-side inverter control. The final deliverable comprises a complete engineering package with model design documentation and Simulink simulation files (.mdl format) for further research and analysis.
