Resource Overview
MATLAB implementation for simulating WINNER SCM spatial channel characteristics, featuring parameter configuration and propagation scenario modeling
Detailed Documentation
This MATLAB simulation program implements the Spatial Channel Model (SCM) developed under the European FP6 WINNER (Wireless World Initiative New Radio) project. The code provides comprehensive simulation of spatial channel characteristics defined in the WINNER project, enabling researchers to analyze wireless communication channel transmission behavior through configurable parameters for different propagation scenarios.
The implementation includes key components such as path loss calculation, delay spread modeling, angle-of-arrival/departure distributions, and polarization effects. Users can configure antenna arrays, mobility parameters, and environment-specific settings to simulate various urban, suburban, and rural scenarios. The simulation generates channel impulse responses and spatial correlation matrices essential for MIMO system performance evaluation.
Core functions handle channel coefficient generation, temporal/spatial correlation modeling, and scenario-based parameter initialization. The modular structure allows easy extension to WINNER II channel models and supports both link-level and system-level simulations.
