MATLAB Implementation of Fingerprint Feature Extraction

In this article, I would like to discuss the significance of a MATLAB-based fingerprint feature extraction program. This implementation not only extracts fingerprint characteristics effectively but also serves as an excellent learning resource for beginners. Through this program, newcomers can study and understand the fundamental principles and methodologies of fingerprint feature extraction, which typically involves preprocessing steps like image enhancement and binarization, followed by minutiae detection algorithms such as ridge thinning and feature point identification.
