Correlation Operations Based on Short Training Sequence Characteristics

First, correlation operations are performed based on the characteristics of the Short Training Field (STF) for signal arrival detection. When correlation values exceed a threshold for a certain number of times, signal arrival is confirmed. Then, using the Long Training Field (LTF) characteristics, correlation operations estimate the starting position of the OFDM symbol's FFT window. After determining the FFT window position, small frequency offset estimation is performed in the time domain. Following minor frequency offset compensation of the two LTFs, FFT operations are conducted, with the results used to estimate integer frequency offsets. After these parameter estimations, data demodulation proceeds by applying full frequency offset compensation to the data portion, performing FFT operations using the estimated window position, and extracting pilot information from corresponding subcarrier positions.
