Resource Overview
Detailed Documentation
In the fundamental control theory course, we will conduct a course design focused on PID controllers. The PID controller represents a widely-used control mechanism that adjusts output signals based on system error, integral, and derivative components to achieve desired control performance. During this course design, students will learn comprehensive PID controller design methodologies and apply theoretical knowledge through practical case studies. Our investigation will cover PID controller working principles, parameter tuning techniques (including Ziegler-Nichols methods), and implementation strategies for diverse control systems. For code implementation, we'll explore algorithmic structures using transfer functions or state-space representations, with key functions including error calculation, integral summation, and derivative filtering. This hands-on approach will deepen understanding of control theory applications and enhance competencies in the control engineering domain through MATLAB/Simulink simulations and real-world system validations.
