Detailed Documentation
I have developed a synchronous generator infinite bus system using MATLAB programming language and successfully implemented Simulink modeling. This system is designed to simulate and analyze the operational behavior and performance characteristics of synchronous generators. Through this model, researchers can investigate critical parameters including generator stability, power factor, voltage regulation, and frequency response.
The implementation utilizes MATLAB's Power System Blockset for creating the synchronous machine model, while employing transfer function blocks to represent governor systems and excitation controls. Key algorithms include the Park transformation for dq0 reference frame conversion and swing equation integration for rotor dynamics simulation. The infinite bus is modeled as an ideal voltage source with zero impedance, providing a stable reference for system analysis.
This modeling approach serves as an essential tool for power engineers and researchers, enabling deeper understanding and optimization of generator system design and operation. The Simulink environment allows for real-time parameter tuning and dynamic performance visualization, facilitating comprehensive power system studies and stability analysis.
