7. Two-Transmit One-Receive STBC in Single-Path Rayleigh Channel: (1) Analyze theoretical bit error rate performance and plot the relationship curve between bit SNR (Eb/N0) and BER. (2) Design a specific pilot-assisted channel estimation method, perform simulation using Simulink, and measure BER performance with BPSK modulation. Plot the relationship curve between bit SNR and channel estimation mean square error, as well as the curve between bit SNR and BER.
In the two-transmit one-receive STBC scheme for single-path Rayleigh channels, we analyze its theoretical bit error rate performance. By plotting BER versus Eb/N0 curves, we can visually evaluate the system performance. Additionally, we need to design a concrete pilot-assisted channel estimation method for Simulink simulation implementation. Through measuring BER performance under BPSK modulation, we obtain the relationship curve between Eb/N0 and channel estimation MSE, along with the BER versus Eb/N0 curve. These curves will facilitate in-depth research into the performance characteristics of this scheme.
Implementation notes: The STBC encoding can be implemented using Alamouti code structure with two transmit antennas. Channel estimation can employ pilot symbols inserted at regular intervals, with least-squares estimation algorithm for channel coefficient calculation. The Simulink model should include modules for STBC encoder, Rayleigh channel block, channel estimator, and maximum likelihood detector.
