Detailed Documentation
In this project, we implement QPSK modulation and demodulation using MATLAB. The simulation includes multiple functional modules such as serial-to-parallel conversion, Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) and Inverse FFT operations, channel estimation based on the Least Squares (LS) criterion, and Doppler frequency shift simulation. Through MATLAB code implementation, we demonstrate practical techniques including constellation mapping for QPSK modulation, pilot symbol insertion for channel estimation, and compensation algorithms for Doppler effects. The project explores various channel estimation methodologies with comparative analysis of their advantages and limitations. Furthermore, we investigate QPSK's capability to transmit diverse data types and examine its practical application potential in modern communication systems. This hands-on simulation approach provides foundational knowledge and technical skills essential for academic advancement and professional development in wireless communications.
