In this project, we implement multi-user transmission simulation using MATLAB, with the simulation technique based on Ultra-Wideband (UWB) communication. UWB communication represents a high-speed, low-power wireless communication technology that enables data transmission across wide frequency bands.
The MATLAB implementation will involve creating multiple user nodes with distinct transmission parameters, modeling UWB pulse generation using Gaussian monocycles or modified Hermite polynomials. Key functions will include uwb_pulse_generator() for signal waveform creation and channel_model() for simulating multipath propagation effects.
Through UWB technology implementation, we simulate transmission scenarios in multi-user environments to evaluate system performance metrics like bit error rate (BER) and channel capacity. The simulation will incorporate code for interference management using time-hopping sequences or direct-sequence spread spectrum techniques. The results will provide valuable insights for improving and optimizing multi-user transmission system design, including algorithm enhancements for power control and resource allocation.
