Resource Overview
Detailed Documentation
This research investigates the simulation of interleaved codes in burst error channels. We implemented a 10x10 matrix structure and configured Hamming code as the inner code component. The simulation framework employs a block interleaving approach where data is written row-wise and read column-wise to distribute burst errors across multiple codewords. The Hamming(7,4) coding scheme is utilized for error correction, providing single-error correction capability within each codeword. Through this study, we aim to gain deeper insights into the application and effectiveness of interleaved coding techniques in mitigating burst errors in communication channels.
