Detailed Documentation
To enhance system performance, MIMO systems adopt power allocation methods. In this program, we primarily implement the water-filling algorithm for power distribution. The water-filling approach allocates power across multiple antennas based on channel conditions, where better channels receive more power similar to water filling uneven terrain. Besides water-filling, other methods can achieve power allocation, such as power drift algorithms or channel state information feedback mechanisms. Through proper power allocation, system transmission quality can be optimized, improving both system capacity and coverage range. The implementation typically involves calculating channel singular values, determining power thresholds, and distributing power proportionally to channel quality metrics.
